Roberto Giribaldi

A graduate in Business Administration from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, he began his professional career as an auditor with Coopers and Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) where he specialised in the financial sector and where he was involved in auditing and consulting activities insurance companies, both property/casualty and life, and financial intermediaries, particularly asset management companies, mutual funds and securities investment companies.

His career continued with a number of insurance companies of major international groups specialised in life insurance-based savings and investment products: at Cardif Assicurazioni SPA he was responsible for management control and the securities back office; from 1997 to 2008, at Skandia Vita SpA (now Old Mutual Wealth Italy) he had a management role as the head of Services and Operations (Organisation, IT and Policy Administration). At Skandia Vita he oversaw all phases of the company’s start-up, the analysis and development of operational and administrative processes, services to distribution networks and customers, and the design and launch of new unit-linked products. He has developed specific skills and expertise in Project Management, Internal Auditing, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Risk Management.

In 2008 he began providing professional consulting services in the area of internal controls and organisation for banks, insurance companies and other financial intermediaries. He currently provides these consultancy services at Regulatory Consulting, where he is involved mainly in consulting in the area of internal controls at credit institutions, Italian branches of EU banks and investment firms, insurance companies, asset management companies and pension funds.
